Executive Summary

The State of Black Arizona provides snapshot data on the focus areas of either Economics, Education, Civic Participation, Health, and Justice. Data is presented to the public through the identification of themes and issues specific to African Americans in Arizona.


We believe through presenting our data, action planning and advocacy for organizations, groups and individuals can be achieved for greater impact and change.


2017, we plan to produce our 2nd State of Black Education Report, and our 1st State of Black Juvenile Justice and Civic Participation Reports in Phoenix and/or Tucson. And in 2018, our 1st State of Black Health and Economic Development will follow in Phoenix and/or Tucson.
